What is TaiChi?

Tai Chi is an traditional internal martial arts from ancient China that combines philosophy, martial arts, well-being and self-awareness. Today, more and more people practice Tai Chi because of its physical health and mental benefits.
Chen style TaiChi 18 Forms considered “moving meditation,” it requires focus of the mind and body synchronized with slow, soft, strong , fast controlled movements.  This course designed for people practising with relaxed muscles, increasing internal energy, energy collection and energy control, improves natural posture alignment, balance and inner peace. it is suitable for anyone to study

What will I learn?

Upon completion of this course you will be able to perform all of the 18 forms of Tai Chi Chen. TaiChi is all about the practise so the more you practise the more relaxed, fluid and confident your moves will become.

We have a range of online tools to keep let you perfecting your TaiChi forms.

After you have mastered the 18 forms you can then progress to 42 or 74 TaiChi Chen forms.

Skill level

The 18 movements TaiChi Chen course is designed for complete beginners wanting to learn TaiChi or intermediate students who want to refresh and consolidate their knowledge of TaiChi.  

This course is suitable for all ages and all mobility ranges.

Course Master

The course is run by Master Ping (Wu YuPing).

Master Ping from Guangdong, China is a 12th generation disciple of TaiChi Chen Master deChen Zheng Lei.

With his 20 years of TaiChi and QiGong experience, fluent English and deep understanding of Chen Style Tai Chi, he is your best choice for learning TaiChi.

He is a World Tai Chi Champion level 6 Master.

Master Ping is the joint headmaster and Co-founder of Yangshuo Traditional Tai Chi School and founder of the newly established FangYuan TaiChi Centre.

How the course works?

The course is designed with flexibility in mind. Once you have registered for the course you will have access to specially designed page for course participants. All live sessions will conducted over Zoom platform. 

The course will start on Sunday with Live session with Master Ping, who will introduce himself and you to the course. Then each following of training will consist of the following: 

Self study Tutorial Videos

At the beginning of every week you will gain access to up to three self study tutorial videos, that you can study at your own time. Those are very detailed videos and you can watch them as many times as you wish. Every week you will gain access to new videos as you progress through the course.

Live Q&A Session with your Master

Sometime halfway through the week there will be Live Q&A session with your Master when you can ask any question that may have arose while you were studying tutorial videos. 

There is no fixed day and time for the Live Q&A sessions and will schedule them each week for the time that suits most of the students taking the course.

Live Review Session with your Master

Every Sunday at 8:30 pm China Time a review session will be held. During the session your Master will review all the new forms you have learned in last 7 days and will give you his feedback and answer all your questions. During this session the Master will watch every participant performing the forms they have learned so far, so we can make sure you are ready for the next portion of tutorial videos.
