The first time I saw master Zhang Xinhu executing first
routine of Chen¡¯s style taijiquan, I was amazed by how together soft
and powerfull it was, and by how natural it looks. But as my master
warned me, and as I discovered by myself along my first steps into the
basics, my body wasn¡¯t use to any of the positions or mouvements, and
they didn¡¯t seems to be natural at all anymore.
Today, after more than one month of full time training, after many hours
spend on the basics and reaching the almost end of the first and longer
routine, it slowly become a part of myself. My legs are more strong,
my body more stable, more flexible, more relax, and my mind more quiet.
The way of moving and using the inside energy at least becomes more
and more natural and slowly affect my everyday life.
It is well know that reaching a real level in taijiquan requires years
of intensive practice and this is also what I believe, but what in my
opinion is more important, and that today I begin to realise, is that
each steps in the practice, each day of real training, will give back
to your effort and will be a source of health and happiness.
Master Zhang Xinhu takes time to show you each mouvement again and again,
to talk about the implication and meanning of each posture, and to correct
you as much as he can, and I can say that this is a great chance for
any practicer.
